Computer store opens in Nashua

NASHUA — Just Works, which specializes in ready-to-use computer systems for the non-technical user, has opened a retail location at 419 Amherst St., across from Building 19 and beside Boomer McLoud. Proprietor Brian Chabot said in a statement that Just Works computers come with a full array of software pre-installed and pre-configured. The company also offers in-store service and repair for most home computer systems. Future plans include classes to get people started and the hosting of LAN parties.

The Linutop is a really neat piece of hardware.  We’ve recently been contacted by another company though making pretty much the same thing for a LOT less money.  We’re still in early stages of negotiations right now.  If it all works out we may soon be able to offer a sweet deal on a small, green PC.  If the negotiations don’t go through, we still plan to see about reselling these little computers, so either way, it seems to be just a matter of time.  The only question is the nature of the relationship. 

Keep your fingers crossed and keep an eye right here for more information as it becomes available.  Just Works has some interesting things planned for the very near future.

LinuTop makes TINY little computer desktop systems.  They are made for limited applications such as public kiosks, small offices, etc. but they also run off 12v DC, so they are perfect if you’re running your own alternative energy electrical system or if you need to mount a computer in your motor vehicle.

They are completely silent, weigh only 580g and draw only 8 watts at 12 volts.  These little babies are perfect for occasional internet surfing, office applications, and such.
